What kinds of data and AI projects does Lovelytics specialize in?
Lovelytics delivers a wide variety of data and AI initiatives, including full end to end data transformation projects, migrations to Databricks, designing and implementing Databricks environments from the ground up. In 2025 our AI business grew by 20%, developing AI agents, building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions, and creating production-ready LLM-powered applications.
How does Lovelytics differ from other consulting firms?

Application & Hiring Process
What does the hiring process at Lovelytics look like?
The hiring process varies by role but typically consists of a few structured steps. This usually begins with an initial screening conversation with a member of the Talent Acquisition team to assess overall fit. For technical roles, candidates then complete a technical interview, followed by a behavioral and cultural interview. The final step is a conversation with the hiring manager.
How long does it take to hear back after submitting an application?
Lovelytics receives a high volume of applications for open roles. While the team strives to review applications promptly, response times may vary. If a candidate’s background aligns closely with the role, a member of the recruiting team will reach out directly.
Can I apply for multiple roles at the same time?
Yes, candidates are welcome to apply for multiple roles.
Do you hire remote, hybrid, or in-office candidates?
Lovelytics is a remote-first organization. The company has offices in Arlington, VA; Chicago; New York City; Toronto; and, in LATAM, Argentina and Colombia. Employees who live near one of these locations are welcome to work from an office, though there is no expectation or requirement to do so.
For candidates located in or interested in working in LATAM, please check our LATAM job openings.
Do I need prior consulting experience to apply?
Consulting experience requirements vary by role and level. Senior-level positions, such as Principal Consultant roles, typically require prior consulting experience, while Consultant-level roles do not require a consulting background.
Interviews & Assessments
What skills are you looking for during interviews?
The skills evaluated during interviews vary by role. For technical positions, Lovelytics looks for a strong technical foundation, demonstrated Databricks experience, and the ability to apply analytics concepts to real-world use cases.
Will I need to complete a technical assessment or case study?
Lovelytics does not currently require candidates to complete technical “take home” assessments or case studies. Instead, candidates participate in an in-depth technical interview that explores relevant frameworks, analytics methodologies, and role-specific technical concepts.
How many interview rounds are there?
There are typically four interview rounds in total, including the initial screening conversation with the Talent Acquisition team.
How can I best prepare for the interview process?
Candidates should be prepared to discuss their professional background, the projects they have supported, and their experience working with Databricks and other relevant tools, as well as various frameworks, architectures, and use cases aligned to their technical skillset.
Who will I meet during the interview rounds?
For technical roles, candidates will meet with experienced technical consultants as well as the hiring manager during the interview process.
Roles & Expectations
What does a typical day look like for a technical Consultant?
Day-to-day responsibilities vary by role, project, and client engagement. In general, team members balance hands-on technical work—such as data engineering, analytics, and solution development—with collaboration, internal planning, and client communication. Specific responsibilities evolve based on experience level and project needs.
How much of the work is client-facing?
The amount of client-facing work depends on role and seniority. Senior Consultants typically spend approximately 80% of their time on development work and 20% in client-facing activities. Lead-level roles are closer to a 70/30 split, while Principal-level roles generally operate around a 60/40 split between development and client engagement.
Will I be working on multiple projects at once?
Depending on the role, working across multiple projects is possible. Architects and Engagement Managers, for example, may support two or more concurrent projects based on scope, size, and complexity. Other roles are more commonly aligned to a single primary engagement.
What level of travel is required?
Travel requirements are minimal. On rare occasions, a client may request on-site presence for a project kickoff, but beyond that, travel is generally not expected. For roles such as Engagement Managers, Industry Practice Leads, etc, travel is more common.
How much autonomy do new hires have?
Autonomy varies by role, experience level, and project context. New hires receive guidance and support as they onboard, with increasing independence and ownership as they become more familiar with Lovelytics’ delivery approach and client environments.
Skills & Qualifications
What technical skills are required for entry-level roles?
Entry-level roles do not require prior Databricks experience, though it is considered a plus. Candidates should have a strong technical foundation, particularly in SQL and Python, along with a solid understanding of data and analytics concepts, depending on the skillset and role that is being hired for.
Which tools and technologies does Lovelytics use most often?
