What are Databricks Champions?
Databricks Champions is an exclusive “invitation only” program recognizing “the best of the best” Databricks practitioners. Databricks Champions are recognized for their technical expertise, community engagement, advocacy, mentorship, and contributions toward making an impact in the Databricks ecosystem.
The criteria for nominations are hefty, requiring proof that the individual has successfully delivered multiple Databricks projects, multiple certifications, completion of an instructor-led training course, and finally, a panel interview with the Databricks team.
Who is Art?
Art has over 10 years working in data & analytics consulting. He has full lifecycle experience, spanning paradigm shifts including ETL, cloud, DevOps, security, and AI. Art’s certifications include Databricks Partner RSA, Databricks Professional Data Engineer, as well as certifications from AWS and GCP. In Art’s own words:
“Driven by curiosity and a desire for continuous improvement, I seek to uncover meaningful insights from data, not just to solve problems, but to deepen my understanding of patterns, processes, and potential.”
What does Champion status mean for Art?
Art plans to leverage his Champion status in three areas:
1. Thought Leadership
Art will share insights from the client projects he’s working on with the larger Databricks community.
2. Motivating High Achievers
Art plans to mentor more junior team members to think like solution architects, guiding them to anticipate future needs and align with best practices.
3. Technical Delivery
Art also will use his new Champion status to develop additional tools and solutions to accelerate value creation for our clients on Databricks.
